About

A bold, traditional espresso blend with low acidity, rich mouthfeel and a chocolate‑forward profile. This season’s Stronghold harmonises profiles from Brazil, Nicaragua and Papua New Guinea.

Roaster Notes

"This season’s Stronghold is a blend of coffees from Brazil, Nicaragua, and Papua New Guinea. The Brazilian component is sourced from Monte Alto, where coffee production sits alongside environmental conservation and community investment, from biodiversity projects to education initiatives that support long-term resilience. 2026 marks 10 years of working with Los Altos, where the Nicaraguan component of this blend comes from. Run by the Mierisch family, Los Altos is a geographically dynamic farm composed of just over 70 hectares of rolling coffee hills at the base of Kilambé Mountain. For Stronghold, we draw from the higher altitude areas of the farm, to bring a crisp acidity to the blend, whilst maintaining the smooth body and sweet nuttiness in the cup. The final component, from Papua New Guinea, is sourced through a community-led exporter investing in education, infrastructure, and sustainable livelihoods for smallholder producers."
