About

Green Land estate lies on the road between Pyin Oo Lwin and Mogok, near the border of Mandalay Division and Northern Shan State. This family business is led by U Sai Wan, a leading innovator in Myanmar's specialty coffee industry, winning national quality competitions for his Green Land coffees. This unique lot is composed of SL-34, a variety more commonly found in Kenya, whilst the lot name Khar Taw Hmi refers to the silver oak trees towering over the coffee plants.

Roaster Notes

"U Sai Wan plays a key role in the Myanmar Coffee Association, alongside his position as Sales Director at Mandalay Coffee Group. He operates the estate with his uncle and aunt, along with two local agronomists and many local workers. The washed SL-34 processing at 1,280 masl delivers a clean, complex and distinctly citrus-forward profile that highlights the unique terroir of the Pyin Oo Lwin highlands."
